The month of April is National Autism Awareness month.
This is a subject that touches many lives in the United States, and across the entire world.
April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day.
The night of April 1, prominent buildings across North America and the world, including the Empire State Building in New York City and the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada will be lit up blue to raise awareness for autism.
Other things we can do to raise awareness
Wear your autism speaks blue pin every day during the month of April, and tell people about Autism if they ask.
Change your profile picture to the “light it up Blue” logo on your face book, twitter, email signature.
Write your emails in blue
Wear blue on April 2nd.
My son’s therapy place have a special celebration on Friday and we will be wearing blue, eating blue cupcakes …yum.
So make it fun and special as well. The more people ask and learn about autism the better chance these kids will have in a future. So lets put the word out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
