Today I attended a free Webinar that was hosted by the NoHarm foundation.
Dr. Shauna Young gave us a perfect presentation regarding the diet that they developed. This is not your typical AS diet that everyone knows. This is called the CURRENT SPECTRUM BALANCE DIETARY PROTOCOL.
Dr. Shauna’s work has proven that there is a common link to many cases and syndromes of AS, and also a high percentage of symptoms and conditions that can be reversible too. The reversal of symptoms can be achieved with a rather simple and easy to follow inexpensive diet. As opposed to waiting months, if not years, for results with other diet choices, this diet can show changes in days and or a few weeks.
The best part of this diet is that you can download this program for free from their website. You may choose to sign up for their mailing list as well, so you can get alerts of free webinars where your questions and concerns will be addressed by Dr. Shauna. We had people attending today’s webinar from all over the USA, and the world.

Dr Shauna mentioned that it is very advisable to be on this diet as a family. There can be a temporary behavioral shift, which generally occurs between the 3rd – 5th week. This is only a short term acute heightened reappearance of unwanted behaviors. This can be discouraging to parents, but if you stick to the diet it will disappear within a few days. As she said, any changes that occur are good news, and you should be concerned if no changes can be noticed.
Another side effect which may occur with this diet is weight loss. Some parents were mentioning constipation as well, and Dr. Shauna suggested to have adequate water intake, as well as exercise, that can help prevent constipation. Although, if you see the choices of food you have, you can pick it in such way that you will have enough fruit and vegetable intake which can prevent constipation as well.
I hope this will benefit many of us. I am going to start this diet very soon God-willing (insha’Allah), and as we go through it, I will have short updates on our progress.
