A few days ago I heard about a new autism magazine called “AUTISM EYE”. The concept (autism) itself is very appealing, but finding out what made these two wonderful people start a magazine purely is a wonderful gesture of humanity. Most of you know that I always advocate any valuable , and reliable resources. I mentioned the Autism TV show, and the Autism radio show. Now we have another wonderful addition to our list ; called Autism Eye magazine. This day and age we find all kinds of people ,good and bad in our lives. As an autism mom myself experienced some very difficult times searching for reliable treatments. I did fell into traps of numerous scams, lost hope ,and lots of money as well.
Searching for resources, and scientifically backed therapies are hard, and time-consuming. Mark and his wonderful partner started this magazine to present us with proven therapies. I honestly wish that they had this kind of resources when my son was diagnosed 6 years ago. Unfortunately I had to do my research on my own like many others, back those days. My hope is that this magazine will help many parents/caregivers to choose the right way to go about their children’s therapy.
Thank you for your selfless effort to make others life easier. Please read below what Mark stated about their effort.
We started Autism Eye because when our own son was diagnosed with autism we found there was very little information available to advise us how we could help him. We had to become detectives, trying to inform ourselves about the best therapies and educational interventions to treat our son’s autism.
We decided to use our expertise as experienced journalists to provide the kind of well-researched information that had not been available to us. Our mission with Autism Eye is to offer an affordable way for parents and carers to keep informed about ways to improve their child’s life through in-depth and unbiased editorial.
We are gaining a growing number of subscribers in the USA, as well as other countries around the world. This is reflected in our editorial coverage. In our first issue, for instance, we highlight research that is taking place in California into the link between autism and a condition in body cells called mitochondrial dysfunction. This research may one day reveal what causes autism.
